[Runabout Skeena]<div><br></div><div>"Thank you Ops, Skeena out." Logan said, closing the channel to Deep Space Nines command center. He manoeuvred the runabout into a docking position, and slowed to approach the airlock. He brought the craft down gently and landed. </div>
<div>"Powering down flight systems." Logan announced to the other passengers on the runabout. "And we're here!" The runabout lowered into the docking port on DS9. He switched the systems from internal to synchronize with the station's own systems. "It is currently 12 hundred hours here at DS9." He informed the others.</div>
<div><i>That's gonna be a slight bit of a change </i>Logan thought to himself, prepping to adjust his mind for a new sleep cycle.</div><div>"Well done ensign." A voice behind him said.</div><div>Logan turned to the familiar voice. "Thank you sir." Logan said with a smile. He had enjoyed the opportunity to pilot most of the way to the large former Cardassian space station. He got up and followed the older Trill out of the Runabout. "So what are your plans now?" He asked the Lt Cmdr.</div>
<div>"Probably stay here for a day or two, rest a bit... Then head back to Earth and the academy." </div><div><br></div><div>[Promenade - DS9] </div><div><br></div><div>"You know ensign, I'm glad you've landed the Vimy Ridge. She's a good ship, I served briefly with Captain Vilqa."</div>
<div>"Thank you Commander." Logan said to his former pilot instructor. "I would be lying however if I said I wasn't nervous. This being my first assignment out of the academy and all... Plus, she's such a large ship. I've never flown anything that big outside of the simulators."</div>
<div>Seth Zahevan looked at his former student and smiled. "You'll do fine Logan... You're one of the better pilots I've seen come out of the academy in a while, perhaps since myself." The Trill grinned.</div>
<div>Logan chuckled. "I hope so sir... Do, do you ever miss it sir?" Logan asked.</div><div>Seth thought for a moment. "Being at the helm of a starship?" Seth asked. Logan nodded. "Yes, I miss being out here, exploring and being on the fringe of known space. But where I am now, is where I'm needed the most." Seth said. "I suppose." He added as an after thought. "We've done so much in our lives, that teaching seems like a good point for us now."</div>
<div>Logan nodded, he always found it odd when Lt Cmdr Zahevan went into referring to himself as 'we' or 'us', but that was the way of joined Trill.</div><div>The two approached a turbolift.</div><div>"Well ensign, I'm going to head to my temporary quarters. Catch up on some stuff." Seth said, as he called for a lift.</div>
<div>"Aye sir. I'll try to find somewhere to eat... Been at least 4 hours since I had something." Logan said with a grin. </div><div>The two officers shook hands, and parted ways. Logan, walking around until he found himself outside a rather interesting looking establishment. The smells coming from it were enough to make his stomach roar and mouth water enough to give Niagara Falls back on Earth a run for their money. He entered, hoping that the food was as good as it smelled.</div>
