of his cheek, deep in thought.

She looked down to her PADD, pulling up that information to examine, her eyes
widening. "That can't be right.." she said softly, moving quickly over to her
computer and pulling up the flare on the screen. "The flares have just increased
in size and strength.. That last one was nearly double the size of the others.."
she said. "And now.. it's occurred in a different location.. either deliberately
to hide something.. or the effects are getting worse on their own.."

"So what you are telling me, " Vilqa looked toward Nix as if the previous
questioning just never took place; her mind on the present, "is the probe's
locale was never an issue before now?"

Justin looked over his PADD again, re-checking all the data from the now
destroyed probe.

"The probe was originally scanning the sun.. It wasn't move to the asteroid
field until recently.. which is a lot farther away then its original location.."
she said, showing the two sets of coordinates on the screen. "This was a very
strong flare.. and since it's the only one.. I'm thinking perhaps it was
unnaturally caused..meaning we.." she paused, looking to Justin. "Look back on
the data from the probe and see if there was any unusual asteroid movement."

"Already checking... so far nothing... but there is a lot of data." Justin
replied as he worked though several million kiloquads of data.

"My only concern is the ship and the crew..." Nick said, "Ma'am I recommend
that we maintain a safe distance until we find a pattern, so we can avoid the
flares altogether, there has to be a way to know where another flare will
be..." he said, looking to the captain. With Yim'Bar on the surface right
now, that made him her security advisor, along with Saladin and the XO.
So he that was all it was. Advice. Still, if they went in, he'd be ready...

"Sensor show... showed something impacting the star just before the flare, The
probes were too far away to detect what it was. One of the other probes saw the
hit, and 15 minutes later the probe I was watching was engulfed with a coronal
discharge." Justin replied. "I'm checking the probes we have monitoring the
star to see if I can get a trajectory on the object that hit the star."

"If it's what I think it is, we will be looking for a fairly large asteroid moving towards the sun. Search the data on the probes in the asteroid field for any movement, we should also look over the data that the ship itself might have gathered through scanning," she said, arching her brow slightly at Nick's words. "A solar flare is only detectable about a second before it begins.."

"Nix,..." Vilqa looked toward the female who had the most hands on focus on the flares, "Based on your research," she was agreeing with Reed to adjust the Vimy Ridge's location from their current safe harbour, "What coordinates do you believe is the safest locale for the Vimy Ridge or are we in it now?"

Kylee chewed on her lower lip for a moment, her brow furrowing in thought as she looked at the image of the area around the sun. "If you want somewhere safe, where we can be shielded, we can rest the ship behind either planet..The atmosphere would block the effects.." she stated, pointing to two separate coordinates.

Vilqa inched forward to look at the two locations Nix was pointing out, "We need to get the vessel into place for our safety." K`ylana sighed a moment, "Reed when was your last communication with Cho'lu.? We need to attempt to contact him."

"About forty five minutes ago, ma'am," Nick said, "I advised him to stay in contact with me, to play it safe," he told the Captain. "He'll contact us every hour, baring any unforseen issues on the surface,"

Matthew heard the captains voice. "Garret here. Go ahead"

"Ensign I need you to take the ridge out at a slow pace. We want to find shelter under thesouth pole of the planet. Solar flares are becoming less predictable so I need you to take the journey with great caution to not get caught up."

"Aknowledged. Im on my way. Garret out" Matthew said as he left his quarters

"Very good." Vilqa acknowledge Garret before the comms was cut off prematurely. She shrugged slightly toward Toby then looked to the officers, "Seems we all just got a bit busier and Commander Blake and I are not helping standing on your toes. Reed I need you to contact Doctor Blake and see what she requires of security both on the vessel with the cargo bays and once she heads planet-side with her medical team. Nix," Vilqa finally responded to an earlier request, "You will go down to the surface with the doctor and her team should you want to continue your studies there."

"Aye ma'am..." Nick said, heading for the door, already tapping his commbadge.

Marcus nodded as the orders were given out, waiting to see if there were any new for him but knowing that his department had their hands full working with security on evacuation possibilities, and security and medical with regards to extra sick bay space, and ensuring all departments were sharing information quickly and efficiently.
