Fully suited in his E.V.A. Marcus moved briskly away from Commander Blake
and Wilkinson. To say that he was infuriated by what he personally saw as a
total disregard for the value Balkion and others had put on their culture
was an understatement. He understood to them, dying with their planet was
the ultimate proof of the value they put on their way of life...but he had
been around Vulcans too long and he personally saw such thinking as folly.

Now he would help Justin make preparations for them all to leave. Whether
the planet was safe or not by the time they left was another story. He
mentally shrugged. One that Nix, Toby and K'ylana were no doubt working on.
Situations like this were what he hated about Starfleet, but when people
listened, that was what he loved. And the exploration, the science, the new
discoveries, that was worth being there for. But this...it was enough to
mess with anyones mind.

He pushed the thoughts away as he neared the caves entrance. Justin had done
a good job keeping the shield around the shuttle strong for so long. In such
dense radiation it was a tough job. He looked skyward as he left the caves
shadow, there was an eclipse due any moment. A shame that there were none
left in the open to see the beauty of it. He went to scratch the back of his
neck and with drew for the umpteenth time, E.V.A. suits prevented that quite
handily.

The surface on which he stepped was as rocky as the walls that he had just
left. The sky was pretty bleak and there was little sign of life around him.
The radiation had already killed off almost everything. The Federation would
need to supply this planet with plenty of aid before it could once again
stand on its own two feet.

Water treatment,
Continued innoculations,
Recolonizing - a good few that left would never return
Food supplies for months if not longer, maybe the whole year until new crops
could be planted
Materials for building

He shook himself, that was not his job, and thankful he was for it, others
would make the list and currently it looked very unlikely that a list would
need to be made.

Finally he arrived at the Shuttle and entered with a grin to Lox, "Well lets
get the preparations moving Commander. Where are you upto?"
