[Ship]

Quietly Toby watched and waited to see what would happen with the asteroids,
he figured it needed doing quickly since they hadn't heard any more from the
away team it was very likely those still on the planet weren't wanting to
leave.

K`ylana felt as though there were 20 kilograms in her lap pressing her down
into her chair, "DuMont," he looked to her security chief, "Do you have any
thoughts to add on the best way to handle the asteroids? We do have the
Mistral at our disposal as well. She is a smaller vessel and perhaps better
suited for the field?" There was no word when any of the inhabitants would
leave the planet.

Jason nodded. "I believe if we use the probes in coordination with the
shields and, using the tractor beam to alter the asteroids trajectory, we
could get the 'shield' up in no time"

"Nix I want you to work closely with DuMont. DuMont get the Mistral on board
with the task. It will be best if the two vessels work together; especially
if there is a hostile risk. I am going to my ready room I need to contact
Admiral Jeffris with this newest bit of information. Mr. Blake the bridge is
yours."

Toby nodded and stood up, "Got it covered."

Kylee glanced over her shoulder, nodding to the captain before focusing back
on the console before her. "I should be able to give exact coordinates in
five minutes, and exactly what will be needed from both ships to get the
asteroid in place about ten minutes later. Dumont, let me know when the
Mistral is ready to begin moving the asteroid."

Jason looked up from the console. "Probes ready. Mistral standing by. We're
ready."

Kylee nodded, isolating an area on the asteroid. "Engage the tractor beam on
this area, as it moves closer to the planet, have the Mistral lock on to
this area. Between the two ships, we'll get the asteroid in place."

"Fen. Status on the probes you have released; are we receiving data yet?"
The Captain queried curiously as she stood up wanting the answer before she
stepped away.

[Shuttle]

"Lox to away team.. Plate tectonic tremor.. about a 2.3 should reach you in
about 2 minutes. You should be safe, but you will probably feel this one."
Justin reported.

Cait tapped her combadge. "Understood, Lox. We'll be ready for it."

Marcus tapped his own badge, "Are you sure there's nothing we can do about
the tremors? If we manage to stop the radiation is there elsewhere we can
transport these people? Are you sure the seismic activity is affecting the
whole planet?" He had heard it all before but he would not give up hoping.

Justin smiled "They are the result of the intense heat caused by the flares,
then the cooling between flare events. IF we stop the solar flares, we stop
the reamors as well."

"Any news from the captain about whether that is likely within the next
hour?" Marcus scowled angrily "And please inform the captain that none of
the inhabitants are leaving, they all wish to stay."

"Some promising ideas, and a workable theory is being implemented I believe.
We should have some tangable results within the next hour or so. I will
inform the captain about the situation Commander."

Justin tapped his comm "Lox to Vimyridge. I have an update."

[Bridge]

"Blake here, how's it going Commander?" Toby waited to hear what Justin had
to say.

"Not so well. Those still here, don't want to leave." Justin replied.
"How goes the shield plan?"

"Well we can't force them, just do your best for them. We're working on it.
Just waiting to get some asteroids moved I do believe." He looked at Nix and
DuMont to see if either of them had anything to add.

Kylee glanced over to the Commander, listening to him speak to those on the
surface. "Might want to inform those on the planet about an unexpected solar
eclipse," she said. "Other than that, shouldn't notice anything, and the
radiation levels will begin to drop almost immediately."

Toby nodded, then spoke, "Did you hear that Commander? You're in for an
eclipse, and the radiation levels should begin to drop almost right away.
Make sure the people who notice from the caves, don't panic."
