[Vimyridge] SD950115.08 - In the Caves Pt 11 - Vilqa, Blake, BLake, Lox, DuMont

"Lox," Vilqa stated, "Have you noticed any structural displacement on the
surface? I want you and the team to be mindful of any possible crustal
displacement which would hinder the caves or any other structure to be
unstable."

"Nothing showing on the scanners at this time.  I'll keep watching, as
seismic activity is increasing, but very slowly." Justin replied.

"Thank you," Vilqa said, "I will have out science teams on the vessel
monitor any core warming

"Understood Captain."

"Once Doctor Blake has reached your location have her contact the Ridge for
an update status on the inoculations." Vilqa also thought it may ease Toby's
mind to hear his wife's voice.

"Will do Captain.  That should be any time now." Just replied.

[Cave entrance]

The trip back through the tunnels had been a tense one with Cait monitoring
her patient every step of the way. The poor woman was just barely clinging
to life and Cait wasn't sure that even with all the facilities of the ship
itself she would be able to save her, let alone the limited medbay of the
shuttle. But still, she had to try. Kyla was so far gone, she most likely
wouldn't survive coming out of stasis. So that option was out. "Blake to
Lox. We're at the cave entrance. You need to hurry. My patient can't take
much more."

"Lox here, Transporting now." A moment later the patient dematerialized from
Cait's location and rematerialized at the shuttle.  "Transport complete,
Signal when you are ready for transport Doc."

Cait waited anxiously as her patient was transported. "I'm ready now, Lox.
After me you need to get my tech."

"Transport initiated" A moment later Cait appeared on the shuttle's
Transporter pad. "Welcome back Doc."

"Thanks, Justin." Even as she spoke Cait was moving to get her patient

settled on the biobed and starting treatment. She shook her head as the
readings came in. "Not good...not good at all."

"Transport initiated."  A moment later the medical tech appeared on the
transporter pad. "Welcome aboard."

The tech gave Justin a small smile as she moved to help the doc with the
woman.

[Vimy Ridge]

"Toby we should hear soon. It shouldn't be that much longer that Cait is
with Lox at the shuttle." Vilqa reassured her Number One, "We need to get
our status update soon." She then took in a breath, "Has anybody heard from
Nix and Smith?"

A quick nod, "Captain they are still within the allotted time given. A solar
wave has passed but I am still picking up all things normal from the
shuttle."

Toby nodded and gave K`y a smile, "Am I that transparant Captain?" He was
starting to worry, it had been a while since they last heard anything about
what was going on.

At that moment, the turbolift doors opened, and Jason walked onto the
bridge.
It was a spectacular vessel, one of his favorites. He cleared his throat.
"Acting Lieutenant Jason DuMont, reporting for duty ma'am"

"Mr. DuMont please relief the Chief at the station."

"Aye" He said, as he moved to tactical, waiting for the young man to move.
He stood behind the station, knowing he was where he belonged.

[Shuttle]

"Lox to Vimyridge.  I have the patient, The med tech, and  Dr. Brody."
Justin reported.

[Vimy Ridge]

"Thank you Commander." Vilqa audibly sighed in relief, "Is the Doctor
available?"

Toby ecohed the sigh, and waited to hear from his wife.
