Justin and lox were arguing over what would be considered safe for transport.
They needed to get a very badly irradiated person into the shuttle without
exposing them to more radiation.

Lox argued that it wasn't possible, the energy stream will still be irradiated
and would in effect cause additional damage to the traveler. Justin argued that
no, they would not be affected, at least not in that way.

Justin's point was that the pattern sent would be restored to the original
pattern as sent. That meant no additional radiation. Lox said that wasn't
possible, as radiation was energy and it would affect the pattern.

They had run tests, many of them, and in the end they were both right, though
Justin more so than Lox. There were inconsistencies, but nothing that should
affect a living being, even with the damage expected from advanced radiation
poisoning. The first test showed that the radiation waves could disrupt the
pattern itself. The second show how that could be compensated for. The third,
showed almost no deviation from the original pattern. The fourth.. and
experiment in removing radiation from the pattern itself during transport...
that was a messy failure, but it was an expected outcome. They had just wanted
to prove to themselves that they could or couldn't help the person with some new
idea born out of their argument.

"So much for that Idea. Maybe if we had time, or the ship's resources.. but not
here.. no now."
