Form up Shuttle Bay One 1245hrs
Departure time 1430hrs for Besbooari
Away team members: Shuttle Pilot Garret. Team Lead Blake, C.  Crew: Reed,
Azten, Lox, Nix, Saladin, Wilkinson, Ivri EVA Suits Mandatory.
Rendezvous with Cho'lu at Southbari Cave Region .....

Vilqa  stopped re reading the memo at the mention of caves and stood up to
walk toward the shuttle bay. She knew she could not head to the surface and
it irked her to no-end as the one thing about being a Commanding Officer --
lack of time getting hands dirty with the micro.

[Shuttle bay]

Justin was doing a full pre-flight on one of the shuttles they had modified
with extra shielding.  So far every checked met with his level of standard,
which was much higher than Starfleet's.  "Computer, update shuttle detail
records to show this shuttle has been modified per work order 234-e46.  Send
request to command for continued use under this configuration after this
mission is complete, priority.. low."

With a familiar whoosh the doors to the shuttle bay opened and the Captain
stepped into the vast room into the hustle and bustle of those preparing.
With a slightly furrowed brow the Captain walked deeper into the hub toward
the shuttle with the opened door.

Nick had gathered this to be a rather.... interesting... away team
mission...  Pushing away most of his darker thoughts out of his mind
entirely, he settled on the task at hand.  Mainly ensuring the shuttle was
being loaded, complete with the equipment needed to get a thorough radiation
scan of everyone boarding the shuttle for the return trip.

Security moved about like ant drones, covering the bay itself, working in
unison as Nick helped where he could, but... with the massive blue Andorian
on the surface, that left him in charge of security... and though he
couldn't be everywhere at once, he was all over the bay to direct his teams.
He was currently, looking at the data on one PADD presented to him.  He
couldn't help but mentally chuckle over it, the crewman standing at
attention before him staring at him, puzzled. Thing was... when his
recruiter had asked him why he had chosen Starfleet... was because he said
he didn't want to worry about the data work.  And here he was, doing just
that.  "Alright crewman, this looks on the up an' up," he said, smiling
toward the man.  He handed him the PADD back.  "Go ahead and finish getting
loaded, report to me once done," he told him.  The man gave his affirmative
then moved off. He just hoped Atzen would get there to help out soon... this
would be his first awayteam mission planetside... he just hoped it wasn't
another rehash of the events with the Tamco...

The Counselor had spent some of her time helping get together the things
needed out of Sickbay. Ivri finished placing a few personal items in a pack
some of them were a jacket, a hand light and a PADD. She double checked to
make sure her tricorder was on her waist. It was one item that important to
her profession if she needed to help out as a medic. The Counselor headed
towards the shuttle bay, preparing to get ready to wear a EVA Suit.

Vilqa observed quietly for a few more minutes before she motioned Reed over,
"What's the absolute latest information you have from Cho'lu or have
communications still been limited?"

Marcus arrived right then, having finished his meeting with Skylar.
Everything was happening so quickly now, and he knew it was fortunate that
many of the people he would be on the away team with were crew members he
had worked with in the past. "Saladin reporting Captain." He smiled, it
wouldn't be long and it would be time to don the EVA's.

Takis had given himself plenty of time to get ready for this, his first
mission with the new crew.  As it turned out, he'd needed it, having
accidentally injured a couple of fellow crewmen's toes in the turbolift in
his haste.  He was glad to see he'd arrived pretty much on time, though.  He
was carrying some scientific equipment on his back, basic stuff that the
Chief had asked him to bring.  Since Takis' large frame had the capacity,
he'd additionally brought some extra survival gear and a redundant system or
two.  Everyone in the shuttlebay seemed quite busy, so he hung back near the
doorway, waiting to depart.

Nick moved to the Captain's side, frowning at her question.  "Very limited,
ma'am... last I heard was in my report," he said. He had been probably
annoying the poor Captain with said reports of each time the Cho'Lu had
contacted him, which... subsequently, had been every hour for the most
part... until much recently.  "The last call from him was a verification
that we were good to go... though I would advise we proceed with the utmost
precaution, the Ridge should maintain a safe distance, and my suggestion to
the doctor will be we keep the planet between the shuttle and the unstable
star, might not offer us a hundred percent protection, but even one percent
odds are better than none..." he told her.
