| Character Description | Most people would probably see Mark as an unremarkable Starfleet officer. Loyal, with a sense of humour, but not overly ambitious. Often, he's content with simply doing his work well, without having to deal with the hassle command positions seem to bring along. Although he was thankful about his promotions, he never saw them as really needed. After graduation, Mark's first assignment was to the USS Stargazer. There, he served for a couple of years, originally as Engineer, but later as Science Officer and at Ops as well. Because of his performance there, he slowly got promoted as well, until, at the rank of Lieutenant, he was assigned to the USS Caledonia, where he briefly served as Chief Medical Officer before being reassigned to Starbase Artemis. There he served as an Engineer, mainly working on the day-to-day maintenance of the starbase. Despite his intentions to settle there, being satisfied with the quiet day-to-day life on the starbase far in Federation space, fate (or Starfleet) decided it would not remain so. Over a year later, he got reassigned to serve as Engineer on the USS Renown. After serving on the USS Renown for several months, he was asked by Commander Lim to become the XO of AFS-T4, which he accepted. Following the rescue of Jamie Valbain, Mark was re-assigned to a small Engineering team to take care of maintenance of sensor outposts. He was reunited with part of the old team when he ended up in the Delta quadrant together with the USS Hiei. |

| Hobbies | Taking care of babies: After a number of Romulan babies appeared on the USS Stargazer because of some accident, Mark has started to like taking care of them, and he tries to take care of any cute baby he sees. |
