| Stardate 870117 | During a diplomatic mission on planet Livethe III, Diego was hit in a cell by a hostile inhabitant of the planet, although Diego finally defeated him he suffered a concussion. This plus a heavy stress episode caused Diego to lost part of his memory and avoided him to work in engineering. After months of treatment and thanks to Drs Chaia Hansen, Lezaria Creighton and counselor Jenaria Dut he finally recovered his memory and mental health. | |
| Stardate 890409 | During his first command mission as Tempestīs new XO in an alien planet, Diego was attacked by a protohumanoid in the back. His vertebras were broken and his spinal chord severed. He ended paralyzed from his torso down. | |
| Stardate 890412 | A new analysis of Diegoīs back showed that there was no damage in the spinal chord. Although his vertebras were fractured, his spinal chord wasnīt severed. Further investigation revealed that science officer Charles Dontrell altered original results, and drugged Cmdr De La Vega with a powerful anaesthetic, to make it look like he was paralyzed. | Character Description | Diego de la Vega is a middle size man, he is well trained and heīs very dynamic. When he talks and moves, he has traces of the old manners and style of a spanish gentleman of the XVII century. He has a deep voice and a dark, misterious look. Heīs also a friendly man, who can get well with people. On the other hand, he is a lonely guy... he will join you in a party if you invite him, but he wonīt talk about his past... and nobody knows when is his birthday... because he never said that to anybody, worse than that... he hasnīt celebrated his birthday since... | ||
| Hobbies | Diego likes 'outdoor' activities, like sailing, fishing, and camping. He also loves the old spanish culture, this fact and his love for fencing, determined his nickname at the Academy: "Zorro". He is really good with the sword, he even won a few tournaments on earth, and he was considered among the best. He likes kickboxing, and he won a couple of minor tournaments too. He usually uses the holodeck to play old adventures of 'Zorro' and he wears the black cloak and mask Zorro used to wear... there are rumours that his grand,grand...grand father was the legendary Zorro himself! =) | ||
