Personal History
Stardate 670705		Frederick DeLance was born aboard his parents' free freighter "Evening Star", near Vulcan.
Stardate 700705		Fred grows up with his older sister Ashendra aboard the "Evening Star", travelling from one sector to the other. His toys are ODN-chips and plasma-regulators and he's quite happy with that. Apart from that, he picks up some languages and learned a lot about alien cultures. He's becoming extremely shy, though. He doesn't even have more contact than neccessary to the rest of the crew aboard their freighter.
Stardate 800621		His sister Ashendra decides to stay with her parents, rather than attending further studies after her highschool-graduation.
Stardate 820701		DeLance graduates HighSchool with average score, after attending to distant learning courses, while aboard his parents ship. He decides to stay with his family, but his sister convinces him to attend the StarFleet-Academy-Acceptance-Test. He passes with flying colors and stays on earth to attend academy.
Stardate 820801		StarFleet Academy courses begin. After general courses, Fred decides on the Engineering branch and earns a commendation for inventive engineering-solutions.
Stardate 830621		The "EveningStar", the free freighter of Fred's Parents, is reported missing, his whole family aboard. Fred is tempted to leave the academy and search for his family personally, but he decides to graduate. Concentrating more on his studies and even less social connections, he tries to compensate his doubts and fears.
Stardate 830820		Additional courses, like shuttle piloting, astrogations, shipboard operations, starship design, advanced physics and computer-science fortunately eat up Fred's spare time.
Stardate 861001		Fred graduates at the Academy with a commendation and is granted the rank of Cadet.
Stardate 861105		Cadet DeLance get's transfered to the USS Nautilus-B, for the duration of 4 month. After that, he is promoted to Ensign.
Stardate 870308		After being transfered to the Transfered to USS Tempest, NCC-42824 DeLance slowly makes friends and gathers more self-respect.
Stardate 870620		First combat experience for Ensign DeLance on Necosa IV.
Stardate 870819		Begins a long term relationship with Durgo Lourelle. After her reasignment, they stayed close friends, though chances to meet were rare.
Stardate 880112		In an act of excellent teamwork, Fred and former Lt.Reignhart rescue a ship and saves the mission. For his innovative solution to keep the shields up under dangerous conditions, Fred is awarded the Star Cross.
Stardate 891205		Friendship with MT PO Zoë Saden is slowy becoming more, when Zoë is transfered to the USS Hellebarde.
Stardate 900603		First contact with "Sam" from StarFleetIntelligence, Section31. With his help, DeLance manages to free the USS Tempest, NCC-42824 and rescues the crew of the Romulan Warbird IRW Makarix. After the mission, "Sam" invites Fred to join S-31 – he accepts the offer.
Stardate 910517		Superior beings, calling themselves "builders" establish mental contact with Fred. They offer great knowledge in return for not interfering and not telling anybody else. DeLance accepts, but shorty after that finds out, the USS Cochrane was destroyed. He blames himself for the loss and the weight of the crew lifes last on his shoulders for month.
Stardate 910806		"Sam" searches DeLance at Starbase 517 and addresses him officially as "fellow operative".
Stardate 911217		DeLance risks his own career and his friendship with Cmdr.Faye Lockwood to save "Sam" and uphold his cover-identity. ACapt. Lockwood accepts and forgives DeLance.

Character Description		Fred is a fresh and dynamical young officer. Most of the time, there's at least a glance of this roguish touch to the smile he wears most of the time and a twinkle in his brown eyes. The short, but often wild and uncontrollable hairs underline this impression. DeLances job is his passion, especially since he became Chief Engineer of the USS Tempest. He declined several offers for positions with command. His social skills have improved over the years aboard and growing into his position and he makes friends faster than before. A rather blow for his selfesteem, however, was the time when Durgo Lourelle took command of the SB517 and left the USS Tempest. After a short depressive episode, he's quite back where he was, but when his friendship with Zoë Saden was at the edge of becoming more, he hesitated, unsure and not willing to life through the same thing again. Shortly after that, Zoë Saden was transfered, too, supporting Fred in his doubts. Even more twists and turns were added to his life, when Fred met „Sam“ from Section31. There was nothing more, he hated than keeping this secret, especially towards Cmdr Faye Lockwood, Acting Captain of the USS Tempest until SD911222 , who was rather a friend, than a superior officer for Fred.

Hobbies		Frederik DeLance's great love are starships. He likes crawling around in jefferies tubes, studying blueprints and programming simulations of virtually every shiptype in the galaxy. He also likes to make plans and designs by himself and tries to test and improve them on Holodecks. His personal treasure is a collection of every holographic blueprint, he gained access to. Since early childhood days, he dreams of creating a shuttle or small fast ship himself. Since serving on the Tempest, their ship was his main priority, but he kept developing plans for his own design. He used to do some archery, but during the last month, he seldomly had the time and nerves to practice. In more calm moments, he likes to watch old-fashioned 2D-movies, especially those in b/w. He was able to revive that long-lost passion with Durgo Lourelle, the former OPS-officer, was now transfered off the Tempest. After she left, Fred seldomly watched any of those 2D-movies until he met Zoë Saden. After she was transfered off the Tempest, too, Fred never touched his old-fashioned projector.

Physical Description		DeLance has a quite athletic body, though he does little sports, if at all. His blonde hair is difficult to manage and Fred does not pay too much attention to that, if there is no important meeting or something like that, so it usually looks a bit uncoordinated.

Nicknames		Fred for most of his friends, though "Sam" prefers to call him Freddy.
